Gillian Wurts

Born and raised in Alaska, Gillian Wurts has deep roots in the community and a strong work ethic shaped by her local upbringing. She attended West Anchorage High School, where she developed a keen interest in organization and problem-solving—skills that would later become essential in her professional career.

Gillian joined Mikunda Cottrell Accounting & Consulting, Inc. in 2021, starting as a front desk receptionist before advancing into her current role as accountant Specializing in day-to-day accounting, accounts receivable and payable (AR & AP), payroll processing, client correspondence, and workers' compensation reporting, she is a dedicated professional who ensures financial operations run smoothly for the firm’s clients.

With a background in retail, Gillian refined her skills in shipment and inventory management while also gaining valuable experience in receptionist and front desk responsibilities. Her strong foundation in organizational and customer-facing tasks makes her an integral part of the team. She has also expanded her technical expertise through prior learning Excel courses.

Outside of work, Gillian enjoys staying active as a member of a Tuesday bowling league, nurturing her passion for animals, and tending to her growing collection of plants. Her dedication, precision, and customer-focused approach make her a valuable asset to both her colleagues and clients.
